SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY

We can ship wine to the following States (as of 12/1/2025)

AK, AZ, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY

In Texas, we ship FedEx Ground. In all other states where we can ship, we ship UPS Ground or UPS Next Day Air. Below is a visual of how long it will usually take Ground delivery to your location from our winery:

Shipments of wine must be received and signed for by a person 21 years or older.

We recommend having wine shipments sent to a home or office where someone is present during the day to receive packages. This helps avoid re-delivery and returned shipment fees.

The wine ships from Johnson City, Texas. Shipping time can vary depending on order day, time, and destination. Please be prepared to wait 5 - 14 days to receive your wine. This timeframe is a guideline and doesn't guarantee an arrival time for your wine. The best way to do that is via tracking information emailed to you. The timeline for shipping will be longer during the Holiday Season (November/December.)

Shipping charges are based on the weight of the shipment and exact charges will be displayed at checkout.

We reserve the right to hold packages if inclement weather poses a risk to the quality of the wine.

UPS Delivery Policy (for all states except TX)

UPS recently introduced a change to how shipments of adult beverage products are handled after the first missed delivery attempt.

After one missed delivery attempt, UPS will redirect the shipment to a nearby UPS Access Point rather than re-attempting delivery the next day. The package is held at the Access Point for up to 7 days at no charge. If it isn't picked up within that window, it will be returned.

This means products spend less time on delivery trucks between attempts, reducing extreme weather condition exposure and handling. It also gives the customers more flexibility — they can pick up on their own schedule rather than waiting on another delivery window.

What customers need to know

  • UPS will leave an Info Notice at the door with the Access Point name and address
  • Tracking will be updated in real time; customers enrolled in UPS notifications will receive an alert
  • At pickup, customers must show a valid ID confirming they are 21+ and that the address matches the shipping label
  • There is no pickup fee
  • The Access Point will be within a 10–15 minute drive of the delivery address — closer in cities, up to 10 miles in rural areas
  • If no Access Point is available nearby, UPS will continue standard delivery attempts and return the package after a third missed attempt
  • Customers can also continue to manage their package through UPS My Choice if they prefer a different outcome.

 

Returned Packages

If your package is returned to us for any reason, you will be charged a $30 return fee + a new shipping charge. If you would like your package re-sent, please Contact Us directly to coordinate a re-shipment. We are not made aware of returns until after several attempts and after it is returned to our location so it can take a while to reschedule.

Please note: Uncollected or returned Club shipments will only be held for a year at the winery. At that point, they will return to winery inventory.

Returns

Your complete satisfaction is important to us. We will replace or refund you for any bottle of wine that is damaged, flawed or that you find unsatisfactory. We ask you return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked, or flawed. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error.

Please Contact Us to arrange a return of a corked or flawed product. Once received, we will refund your account for the cost of the product minus discounts, shipping and handling.

Wine Club Cancellations or Changes

All wine club changes or cancellations must be made 30 days prior to a wine club shipment. You will receive an email the month prior to your shipment prompting you to update your information if needed. You may change/cancel online on our website or by emailing info@sandyroadvineyards.com. There is a $30 fee for any refunds after payment processing and before your shipment has been packaged. Once your shipment has been packaged for shipping, there are no refunds.

Tasting Fees & Reservations Cancellations or Changes

Tasting fees and reservations changes or cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to your appointment in order to receive a refund. If a reservation is canceled within 24 hours of your appointment, you may be charged a cancelation fee of $30.

Canceled orders processed by credit card will incur a $30 credit card processing fee.
