Sandy Road Vineyards: Estate Texas Wine for Thoughtful Wine Lists

Family
Owners: Reagan, Kristina, Adrienne and Bryan

Who we are

We are a family winery farming our historic Texas Hill Country ranch. We planted 21 acres to Rhône, Spanish, and Italian varieties and we farm, harvest, and make every wine ourselves. Most of what we bottle is estate grown and produced in small lots. Our aim is precision, balance, and site expression that pairs cleanly with food.

What we believe and why it matters

If your kitchen champions Texas farmers and ranchers, then your wine list should tell the same story. We believe in eating local and pouring local. Authentic, sustainably farmed Texas wine belongs on the table next to Texas beef, Gulf seafood, Hill Country vegetables, and wild game. Guests respond to origin, craft, and people they can meet.

How we farm and make the wines

Hand harvested fruit, gentle extraction, and stainless steel for freshness where it makes sense. Thoughtful oak for texture, never dominance. We grow and craft Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Sangiovese with clear intent: natural acidity, fine tannin, moderate alcohol, and fruit forward aromatics. The result is food first wines that lift dishes rather than compete with them.

Proof of quality

Our wines earn major awards, including multiple Gold medals from the San Francisco International Wine Competition and multiple Best in Class and Best in Show honors including TEXSOM and the Houston Rodeo International Wine Competition. Quality is not the bottleneck. Access is.
